In 2019, Weifang City’s third Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held under the theme "New Technologies, New Innovations, New Development," aiming to promote an innovation-driven culture, foster a vibrant entrepreneurial atmosphere, accelerate the transformation of old and new growth engines, and ultimately help build a stronger industrial hub. This year’s competition saw 138 companies from eight key technology sectors— including electronic information, new materials, new energy, energy conservation & environmental protection, biomedicine, advanced manufacturing, the internet, modern agriculture, and marine technology—compete fiercely against one another. Renowned experts and mentors, totaling 10 distinguished professionals from institutions such as the Shandong Academy of Sciences’ Institute of New Materials, Shandong University of Technology, Shandong University, and the Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ Institute of Agricultural Resources and Environment—as well as representatives from banks and patent firms—provided insightful feedback and scoring during the participants’ 7-minute presentations and 3-minute Q&A sessions. Following a fair, transparent, and impartial evaluation process conducted by the competition organizing committee, Sanhuali Technology’s project, "3FT Three-Proof-One-Adjustment Multi-Functional Fire Hydrant," was awarded an Excellence Prize. Moving forward, Sanhuali remains fully focused on its core business, committed to advancing critical, common technologies that enhance public safety and emergency response capabilities for vital social infrastructure systems.

According to relevant statistics, more than 80,000 fires occurred in 2018, resulting in 499 deaths, 234 injuries, and nearly 800 million yuan in direct property losses. In recent years, traditional fire hydrant technology has fallen behind the pace of urban development. Currently, traditional fire hydrants still hold about an 80% market share, yet they delay rescue operations in 32.8% of cases—due to factors like outdated technology, functional deficiencies, and other issues. Common problems with conventional fire hydrants include freezing, collisions, theft, low water pressure, inaccurate positioning, inability to open, and failure to deliver water, posing significant risks to people's lives and property safety. Recognizing the critical importance of fire safety, the central government has taken this issue seriously, enacting comprehensive fire safety laws and regulations while making it a top priority under the "dual responsibility" system for local government leaders. As a result, upgrading fire protection infrastructure technologies has become both urgent and essential.

The Sanhuali "3FT Multi-Function Fire Hydrant" features anti-collision, frost-proof, anti-theft, pressure-regulating, and remote monitoring capabilities. It has already earned CCC mandatory certification and passed type-testing, filling a significant gap in the domestic market and reaching a leading domestic standard. In 2019, it was included in the government's first-purchase innovative products catalog and is now widely used in logistics parks, supermarkets, residential buildings, municipal fire protection systems, petrochemical facilities, school campuses, and more. The widespread adoption of this product is yielding substantial economic and social benefits.
