  • Product Description
    • Name: Intake valve

A pressurized pipeline system, when the pressure is released, will inevitably create a vacuum inside the pipe if external air isn’t allowed to enter, leading to negative pressure that can damage the system—and in extreme cases, even cause an explosion, posing serious risks.

    pic
The valve body is made of brass or stainless steel, while the float and valve core are crafted from brass to ensure resistance against high temperatures, high pressure, and corrosion.
Differential-pressure operating principle—intakes air only, with no exhaust; offers flexible on/off functionality.
No manual operation required—automatic suction action, sensitive air replenishment, and ample air intake.
All internal sealing areas feature tapered hard seals, addressing the previous issue of inadequate sealing caused by plastic or rubber gaskets in earlier products.
The float makes a slight sound when it moves, but the noise is inaudible beyond one meter—and it won’t contribute to environmental noise.

Medium used: Suitable for eliminating vacuum-breaking forces in thermal pipelines, steam pipelines, or municipal water supply systems.
      Medium temperature: 0–150°C
      Nominal pressure: 0.6 MPa – 1.0 MPa
      Floating seal pressure: 0.02–0.6 MPa
Valve body material: Brass or stainless steel
Application Standard: GB/T 12225—Cast Alloy Casting Conditions
The pressure test shall comply with the provisions of standard GB/T 13927—2008.

A pressurized piping system, when the pressure is lost, can inevitably lead to vacuum formation inside the pipes if external air isn’t allowed to enter—resulting in negative pressure that may damage the system, potentially even causing an explosion hazard. To prevent such risks, an intake valve is designed to rapidly and massively draw in ambient air as soon as system pressure drops, instantly balancing the internal pressure with atmospheric pressure. This ensures the piping system remains intact, safeguarding it from the damaging effects of negative pressure. This valve serves as a crucial accessory that maintains stable internal pressure without the need for additional venting pipes. It is typically installed at the highest point of each lateral branch or at regular intervals along vertical risers. As such, the intake valve is an indispensable component in piping systems, helping to minimize the risk of negative pressure. It’s widely used in high-rise building heating systems, industrial plant piping networks, small-scale pump stations, and pressure pipelines equipped with antifreeze devices—as well as in thermal steam lines. Often positioned at the system’s highest point or localized high points, the valve automatically adjusts its operation to equalize pressure differences between the inside and outside of the pipe, thereby preventing vacuum-related damage to both the pipeline and connected equipment.
When installing the intake valve, ensure it is mounted vertically. At the moment system pressure drops, the floating core block descends under the combined force of gravity and the system's suction, automatically opening the intake port and allowing air to flow into the pipeline through the cylinder inlet. Conversely, once pressure builds up within the pipeline system, the float rises due to the system pressure, securely sealing the cylinder inlet. As a result, the intake valve remains fully closed at this point.
