      Connect the PE-material inlet elbow to the PE-material main water pipe using heat fusion. (If the underground main water pipe is made of metal, use a metal-threaded elbow instead—attach one end to the frost-proof valve inlet and connect the other end to the main pipe via an adapter.)

      Carefully wrap the threaded inlet of the lower valve body of the freeze-proof valve (plug) evenly with Teflon tape, then screw it clockwise into the Rc1/2 thread of the inlet elbow. At the same time, ensure the outlet is properly aligned. Tighten only to the appropriate level—avoid applying excessive force or using brute strength, as this could damage the inlet thread.

      Place bricks beneath the lower section of the inlet bend to create a supportive structure, preventing the valve stem from sinking. The seepage layer should be filled with stones or crushed bricks measuring 4–6 cm in diameter or larger, with the filling height ideally covering the area about 3 cm above the lower valve body. Finally, lay a plastic sheet smoothly over the seepage layer to protect it from freezing, and then compact the top layer with clean soil to ensure thorough coverage.
      Note: In the diagram, H represents the depth of the frost layer at the lowest local temperature. In Shandong Province, this should ideally be between 50 cm and 70 cm to prevent sudden and severe temperature drops. Therefore, the frost-proofing layer depth H must exceed 50 cm to ensure that the valve body beneath the freeze-proof valve (plug) remains below the frost line. Additionally, the drainage layer J must be at least 40 cm deep to provide sufficient space for efficient water drainage.
      It is recommended to install pits with cross-sectional dimensions of at least a 40cm × 40cm square or a circular pit no smaller than 50cm in diameter, to facilitate the installation process.
    4.1.4 Step 4: Attach the faucet to the outlet of the freeze-proof valve and tighten it—then it's ready for use.
    4.1.5 It is recommended to install a main valve upstream of the anti-freeze valve (plug) body for easier maintenance. Users may follow the installation standards for water meters as specified by the local water utility authorities.
    4.2 Instructions for Use:
      To operate this product, turn the handwheel fully in the "Fill with Water" direction as indicated by the arrow—this will allow normal water usage. Alternatively, turn the handwheel all the way in the "Drain or Anti-Freeze" direction as shown by the arrow, then be sure to open the faucet afterward to activate the anti-freeze function. Remember to always turn the handwheel all the way—either to "Fill with Water" or "Drain/Anti-Freeze"—whenever you need to use water or prevent freezing. Never leave the handwheel partially between these two positions, as this could lead to improper operation and potential freezing issues. During seasons when anti-freeze is not required, you can simply set the anti-freeze valve handwheel to the "Fill with Water" position, allowing you to control the faucet for regular water use.
      5.1 When installing this product, please thoroughly clean off any dust or debris from the valve body and piping—both top and bottom.
      5.2 After purchasing this product, do not place it in a high-temperature, dry area or under direct sunlight before installation. Also, avoid storing it in places prone to ozone generation.
      5.3 Absolutely no use of this product in non-municipal water supply pipes.
      5.4 When tightening the freeze-proof valve (plug) into the inlet elbow, use a wrench to securely grip and turn the hexagonal portion of the inlet elbow—never directly rotate the pipe body with pipe pliers, as this could damage the pipeline.
      5.5 During installation, a dedicated person should hold the frost-proof valve (plug) body in place until the installation pit is completely backfilled. Only then can the person release their grip to prevent pipe damage caused by the weight of the backfill soil. When backfilling, be sure not to block the drain port on the lower valve body of the frost-proof plug, as this could lead to equipment failure.
      5.6 After installation is complete, perform confirmation tests for water flow, leak prevention, and drainage. Specifically, when the product is in the water-supply state, the faucet should close tightly without leaking, and opening the faucet should allow water to flow normally. During drainage, you should feel a slight suction effect when placing your hand near the spout—this is also normal. Before backfilling with soil, conduct a thorough water-flow test to ensure that there are no leaks at the elbow joints or heat-fused connections. Only after confirming proper sealing can you proceed with burying the material. Use loose, well-drained soil for backfilling; avoid using soil mixed with large stones or bricks, as this could compromise the material's insulation properties.
      5.7 Rotate the handwheel fully in the "Drain or Anti-freeze" direction, then turn on the faucet to drain all water from the pipes exposed above ground, ensuring thorough protection against freezing.
      5.8 Do not disassemble, reassemble, or modify the device privately—except for maintenance—otherwise, components may be damaged, leading to water leaks.
      5.9 Users must avoid rough handling during installation or use to prevent exceeding the valve body's capacity limit and causing equipment damage.
      5.10 If the freeze-proof valve (plug) is installed at the very end of the main water pipe, you can connect its inlet directly to the main pipeline. However, if multiple freeze-proof valves (plugs) are installed along the main water pipe, first extend branch pipes from the main pipe using T-fittings, and then connect the inlet of each freeze-proof valve (plug) to its respective branch pipe—this ensures that the other valves remain fully functional without interference.
